First International Church Of The Web Newsletter

Church Newsletter For February 15, 1998

Greetings from your pastor!

With this edition of our newsletter we get back on to our regular newsletter schedule, after our first anniversary special edition last week. Since just last week we've grown to 260 members! Truly the Lord is blessing our ministry!

Other than that, there's not a lot of new news, so I'd like to just remind everyone to keep up the great work spreading the Good News. Not a week goes by that I don't here from members how they've either started a church or ministry on the internet, or created a Christian web site, or led someone they know to Christ. These reports always fill me with joy, and remind me just how wonderful a group of Christians we have in our church. Keep those great e-mails coming!

No matter where you are in the world, I'm sure you are aware of the turbulent political situations around the globe. Ours is not a political church, and it is not my desire to discuss the merits or follies of any political leaders or groups. But, I would like to ask all members and prayer warriors of our church to pray for peace during these difficult times. May God give our leaders wisdom and patience. Please join me also in prayer that the families undergoing seperation due to military maneuverings and troop deployments receive peace in their hearts, and that their loved ones return home safely.

Last week I mentioned that our church is planning a prison ministry resource page. The plan is to provide materials that can be printed up for use in prison ministries, provide instructional and reference materials for those starting prison ministries, and to post links to other sites offering similar materials. If you know of any of these, please let me know about them, so we can get this important page up and running. Perhaps you've created materials which you'd like to donate for others to use. Or maybe you've been involved in prison ministry, and can let others benefit from your experience. Brothers and sisters, prison ministries change lives by leading lost souls to Jesus. I call on you to share your resources and experience to help make the Prison Ministry Resource Page of The First International Church Of The Web a life-changing reality!

Finally, it has been brought to my attention that, for one reason or another, some of our members can't view the graphics on the Ordained Clergy Credentials Catalog Page. So, to remedy this situation I've added a text-only version to the catalog. If you haven't been able to read the catalog before, be sure and drop by and check out the text-only version.

Well, brothers and sisters, that's going to do it for this edition of our newsletter. Remember, our next one will be out on the first of March. If at all possible, please join us for our weekly fellowship chat sessions in our church fellowship hall/chat room, Monday evenings from 8pm-10pm Eastern. And, as always, do please visit the church prayer request message board and bulletin board. Get to know the other members of our church and experience the wonderful Christian fellowship our church offers. Remember, if you don't participate, you're missing the best part of being a member. As always, you remain in my prayers at all times. God bless you.

Yours in Christ,
Brother Dave
